Slopes
Messilä ski resort has has the longest and largest slopes in Southern Finland. Messilä’s highest point is 230 m above sea level. The greatest height difference between Messilä’s slopes is 111 m. All in all Messilä has 10 slopes, Park Messilä, Playground, Pikku Parkki (Little Park) and 9 ski lifts.
Kartano
The Kartano slope is mildly sloping and suitable for beginners. The Kartano slope is located conveniently in the Messilä yard circle and is easily accessible from both SkiMac and the LHS Ski School. The kartano slope has a T-bone lift.
Difficulty level: very easy

Pikkukylä
The Pikkukylä slope is located right next to Messilä yard circle and is easily accessible both on skis and on foot. The level of the small village is very easy and suitable for beginners. The Pikkukylä has a carpet lift. The small village is a fenced, quiet area where the youngest members of the family can safely practice the basics of skiing and snowboarding. The Pikkuparkki, parking lot is conveniently located near the Pikkukylä. The Pikkukylä also has Messilä’s excellent sledding hill. Below you will find a video introducing the small village area.

Playground
The Playground is rated as S/M and described as intermediate in difficulty level. It is located between the Kartano and Karhu slopes. The Playground has a variety of freestyle locations. Playground has plenty of low boxes, rails, and other obstacles.

Karhu slopes
The difficulty level of the Karhu slopes is intermediate. The Karhu slopes have T-bar lifts. Karhu 1 is Messilä’s main slope, providing easy access to other slopes and it is usually the first slope to open every season. Guests staying at Messilä’s log cabins can conveniently access the Karhu slopes directly from the log cabin village. Karhu 2 is a day slope.

Hirvi slopes
The Hirvi slopes are all intermediate difficulty level. The Hirvi slopes are accessible by T-bar lifts.
The Hirvi slope is Messilä’s most popular slope. It is versatile and offers both steep and gentle areas for skiers. Hirvi offers several options for skiers to enter Messilä’s other slopes. Guests staying at the log cabin village can conveniently access the Hirvi slope on skis.

Kettu slopes
The Kettu slopes are all intermediate difficulty level. The Kettu slopes are accessible by T-bar lifts.
The Kettu slope is the steepest of Messilä’s slopes. where skiers can try their hand at slalom. The Kettu slope is often used to host slalom competitions at Messilä.

Park Messilä
Park Messilä’s difficulty level is intermediate. Park Messilä is newly renovated and is home to a variety of different jumps, rails and other obstacles. Park Messilä’s obstacles are higher than the Playground’s.

Krossi
Krossi has an intermediate difficulty level and offers skiers a variety of turns, barrows and knolls. Krossi was founded in 1969 and is Messilä’s oldest slope. Skiers can have a playful competition in ski cross on the Krossi slope. During season 25/26 we added a track suitable for mogul skiing onto the Krossi slope. Please note that this section of the slope is not beginner friendly and we recommend it for more experienced skiers.

Laaso
Laaso’s difficulty level is easy. The Laaso slope is usually open only on weekends and during the winter vacation season. The Laaso slope is accessible via a T-bar lift. Café Laaso is located at the bottom of the Laaso slope and follows the openning hours of the Laaso slope. Café Laaso is a wonderful place to sit down and take a break on a sunny winter day.
