Reservation Terms and Conditions

It may be possible to negotiate the length of the reservation and cancellation times for individual guests, as well as events in the local region. These changes must always be negotiated separately either by telephone or email.

Reservations and Payment

All reservations must be paid in full two weeks before the reservation date via the online payment link provided in the confirmation message for the reservation.

The minimum age for the person making a reservation is 22 years. Keys to the accommodation will not be given to persons under the age of 22 years.

Please Note

Messilä Log cottages do not include wooden outdoor tubs and bringing your own tub, or a rental tub is prohibited.

Messilä does not have charging stations for electric cars. Charging electric cars from any outlets not specifically designated for charging electric cars is prohibited. If ordinary electric outlets are used to charge an electric car a guest doing so will be fined 500 €.

Parking motor homes / campers in front of Messilä Log cottages is prohibited and a guest doing so will be fined 500 €. There are parking spaces for visiting vehicles located at the Log cottage village and we request that visitors of guests use those designated areas. Trailer and motor home spaces can be inquired after from Messilä Camping Tel. +3583876290.

In general pets are not allowed in Messilä accommodations. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule, and Messilä offers accommodation options where pets are welcome too. Guests need to include their pet in their reservation, so that they can be offered a pet friendly option. The extra fee for pets is 20 € / stay. This extra fee will not be reimbursed unless in the event of a cancellation, unless it is correctly included in the cancellation in advance. If a pet is brought into the accommodation without permission, Messilä will collect a 50 € fee.

Cancellations

All reservations must be paid in full two weeks before the reservation date via the online payment link provided in the confirmation message for the reservation.

Reservations can be cancelled without fees two weeks before arrival date. Reservations cancelled one week before the arrival date will have 50 % of the paid for accommodation price reimbursed. Reservations cancelled less than a week before arrival will have 25 % of the accommodation payment reimbursed. Cancellations made one day before arrival date will not be reimbursed at all.

In Case of Illness

Cancellations due to illnesses will be dealt with individually. Please contact the hotel reception as soon as possible and we will sort out the situation with you.

General Policy

Parking for guests in Messilä Maailma parking areas is free of charge!

Hotel Messilä Opening Hours

Hotel Messilä reception and sales service is open between 8.30 Am and 4 PM all year round. Please find more detailed opening hours for the hotel reception in the time table below.

Check-in is at 2 PM. Check-out is by 12 PM on the day of departure. Messilä seeks to offer earlier check-in and later check-out within possibilities without extra fee.

Hotel Messilä reception is not open at night. Please contact us if you are unable to check-in before the hotel reception closes for the day.

Customer Conduct at Messilä Maailma Oy

Guests at Messilä Maailma Oy are expected to observe good manners and regulations. If a guest violates these rules, they may be ejected from the hotel. The accommodation and the price of any ordered additional services must still be paid, and the refund of a payment already made cannot be demanded.

Messilä Maailma Oy’s responsibility for customer’s property

Hotel Messilä at Messilä Maailma Oy does not have storage lockers or safes available for the use of hotel guests. Hotel Messilä has a luggage room, where guests can store their luggage. Please note that the luggage room does not have security surveillance and therefore customers store their luggage in the room at their own risk. For security reasons, Messilä Maailma Oy is under no obligation to store items of high value or items that could jeopardize the safety of our staff or guests.

Messilä Maailma Oy is not responsible for any damage to, or disappearance of, vehicles parked in the parking lots, or items left inside the vehicle. There is no security surveillance in the parking lot and Messilä Maailma Oy is not responsible for the customer’s items left in the car.

Customer’s liability for damage

The customer is liable for any damage that they, their guest or their pet intentionally or negligently cause (e.g. by smoking in the room) to the accommodation at Messilä Maailma Oy or other premises, furniture or other equipment, or to other customers or their property at Messilä Maailma Oy. Liability for damage is determined in accordance with general damage liability principles.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in the Hotel and Old Store room prices. For guests staying at the Log cottages or Ylöstalo, breakfast can be purchased separately for the price of 15 € / adults, 10 € / 4-11 years and 5 € / under 4 years.

Breakfast is served at the Manor Restaurant during winter season from 8 AM to 10 AM. Outside of winter season breakfast will be brought into the refrigerator in the accommodation.

Ski pass and Ski gear Rental Offers for Guests

Guests can purchase Ski passes for special prices at the Hotel Messilä Reception and Messilä Ticket Sales. Please note that guests must tell that they are staying at Messilä in order to get the special Ski pass prices from Ticket Sales.

Winter season 23/24 Day pass  30 € / over 11 years and  20 € / 6-11 years and over 65 years. The keycard is not included in this price, it must be purchased separately for 6 € and cannot be returned.

During winter season 23/24 rental shop SkiMac offers a 30 % discount on day long ski gear rentals. Guest will receive this discount at SkiMac, when they show their Ski pass.

The special prices on Ski passes and Ski gear rentals apply only to guests, who have booked their stay through Messilä Maailma Oy.

The Saunas at Hotel Messilä

During winter season 23/24 on Saturdays the saunas at Hotel Messilä are available from 5 PM to 9 PM to all guests who have booked their stay through Messilä Maailma Oy unless the Saunas have been booked for an event. There is no extra fee for the use of the sauna.

The saunas are located on the first floor of Hotel Messilä next to the hotel reception.

There are two separate saunas, shower rooms, and toilets for men and women. The saunas also have hairdryers, single use peflets, towels, and hair&body soap for the guests. There are also two shared lounges next to the saunas.

The saunas and lounges are alcohol dispensing areas and therefore guests are not allowed to bring their own drinks to the saunas. Sauna drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic can be purchased from the hotel reception.
